We have had reports of scam emails being sent to Malvern residents stating that the sender has been monitoring their online activity and will send details of it or videos of them to their contacts if they don't pay a privacy fee. We are aware of these sort of emails and messages being sent out periodically. The sender will not have gained any details about the recipient. They are generic emails sent out in the hope that the recipient will fall for the lies and pay the sender a fee to not disclose their online activity. If you receive any such email then please just ignore it and do not engage with the sender in any way. They generally work on the basis of sending out as many emails or messages as possible and hoping that a small percentage of recipients will for for the scam and send them money. |
